Job Description

The South Florida Behavioral Health Network, Inc., d/b/a Thriving Mind South Florida (“Thriving Mind”) a non-profit Managing Entity, is seeking a Grant/Procurement Specialist. Knowledge of Federal, State, and Miami-Dade County laws, ordinances, regulations & policies related to procurement and contracting is preferred.  Must have excellent writing, analytical, organizational, communication skills and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple daily and competing tasks.

Responsibilities include all aspects of a procurement process, drafting agreements and modifications, grants/contract management, evaluation of service implementation, monitoring of grant performance and compliance, coordinating with program/project managers to ensure

This position is the procurement specialist for Thriving Mind SFBHN, the point of contact between Thriving Mind and the community and actively participates in planning meetings and workgroups.

The successful applicant will be flexible, be a team player and uses common sense to provide grant-related issue resolution, both internally and externally and have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree required, business, healthcare management, acquisition, or related discipline is preferred and 2 years of contract, grant and/or procurement-related experience. High School Diploma and 4+ years of experience in contract or grant management and/or procurement; Or Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  2. Experience in applying organizational standards when developing competitive bids, negotiating terms and drafting contracts.
  3. Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
  4. Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information.
